Our guidelines

Here are some guidelines to ensure that everyone can enjoy the space safely.

  • 1. Confidentiality: What is shared in the group stays in the group. Your facilitator will only share information outside the group if they are worried that you or someone else might be at risk of harm.
  • 2. Respecting Everyone’s Privacy: We do not share other members’ personal information inside or outside the group. Members should never feel pressured to share phone numbers, social media, email, or any other personal details. Sharing your information is always your choice.
  • 3. Looking After Yourself: If something feels difficult to hear or talk about, you can: · Take a short break · Step away from the screen (if online) · Mute your microphone (if online) · Do anything you need to feel calm and safe Your wellbeing comes first.
  • 4. Kindness and Respect: We treat each other with care. This means: · No shouting · No judging · No pressure · No disrespectful behaviour towards others or the facilitator Everyone deserves to feel safe and respected.
  • 5. One Person Speaks at a Time: Everyone is welcome to share — if and when they want to. You never have to talk about anything you don’t want to. This space isn’t for political or religious debate. We focus on personal experiences and emotional wellbeing.
  • 6. Arriving On Time: If you arrive late, you may wait in the virtual waiting room (if online) until there’s a natural pause. If you join with fewer than 5 minutes left, you may not be admitted.
  • 7. If Something Upsets You: If something makes you uncomfortable or distressed, please speak to: · The group facilitator · Your Mental Health Coach We are here to support you.
  • 8. Follow-Up Information: Sometimes we will send a short follow-up email with useful links or information after the session.
  • 9. Attendance: Please try to attend regularly. If you can’t make a session, just let the facilitator know. If you want to stay involved even when you can’t attend that week, you can request this without explaining why.
  • 10. Everyone Is Welcome: The Wellbeing Network is for everyone — all genders, sexualities, races, disabilities, religions, and backgrounds. You can join in the way that works best for you: · Camera on or off (if online) · Speaking or just listening · Participating as much or as little as you want You are welcome exactly as you are.
