Neurographic Art is a relaxing form of freeform line drawing creating shapes in the process. It can be filled with colours and patterns to become a unique artwork on its own or to be cut out and used in scrapbooking or card making activity.
It was developed by a Russian psychologist, artist and architect Dr Pavel Piscarev in 2014. It invites us to draw freedom lines on paper, called neurolines. As the line travels across the page, it encourages us to relax. It acts as a form of meditation as the pen created line and shape.
Start with drawing overlapping lines. Then round the corners. You can also follow the lines again. And you can add some additional shapes if you need to balance the page.
Going further add some loops or circles or any patterns. Do not overthink. It is your relaxing time. Do not worry about the end. Just enjoy the process.
